well, I just cancelled my 7700 and ordered a sager 9860...more options and with the new price reduction it worked out for less...PLUS, discountlaptops.com offers an accidental damage warranty for 1 yr for only 100!! They tell me I will be on it by wed the latest with 2 day shipping. Good luck on your phase games! Free bluetooth on the 9860 also!

i dont think the phases mean much of anything. I think they update it whenever they feel like it.

What was wierd to me when I bought my 5500 during the first month it came out, they told me that i would be getting it in 6 weeks. The weird part was that i actually got it within 1 week. I got a tracking number in my email address saying that it had been shipped. WHen i called alienware, the sales rep told me that it was impossible that it could have been shipped. He couldnt find it anywhere in his database about it being shipped.

2 days later i got my laptop. weird. i dont think that they are very organized in the way they process these things.

I just called to the customer service department of Alienware to check the phase of my 7700 pre-order.

On early december they sent me an email telling me, my order has been processed into phase 3.
But today, person on the phone told me my order is on phase 2.
When I asked her why and how come my order does not seem to procceed meanwhile other people's order do. She said any 7700 orders are on phase 2 and she does not believe some order was insisted to be processed further.

I came to a conclusition that they don't even know about the phase.
Once again, I am at lost and I am dissappointed. :/

You cannot get hung up on the phases BC.

I know it sounds rough but it will come as soon as it can...calling does absolutely nothing to speed up orders. Hang in there!

No I don't think that I am the same zer0- on IGN.

I regularly visit the site but I'm not signed up on the message boards.

So, any (new) news on the 7700 parts? Some people say the LCD is still not in ( and it makes sense because Alienware has to get those custom made ) and shipping won't start until January. Some people say that Alienware sales reps have assured them that the ship dates will be met.

I really hope that the latter is the case.

Anybody have any info they care to share?

Still on phase 8 as well

I ordered two days after you did. Been in Phase 8 since 12/10.

And every time I call them, they say the original ship date will hold. I believe mine was 12/22.

That's next Wednesday if I'm not mistaken.
