Audio DJ and wireless NIC

Are the volume controls for the audio DJ supposed to control the Windows volume?

My 5680 did and my 9860 does not. Just wanted to confirm with others.

If it is supposed to then how would you go about trouble shooting this? Would it be a driver issue?

Also, FN+F11 does not toggle the power for my wireless NIC. I know this is supposed to work because it's in the manual.

Any ideas on this one? I don't think it is driver related, because on my 5680, I could toggle this during boot-ups when WXP wasn't even loaded yet.

TIA!!

All the front panel DJ controls are turned off when when the Laptop boots. In the 8887, the volume controls and next selection worked in some programs. In a couple days there may be a new BIOS that adds a clock to the front panel when the Laptop is running. Will have wait and see if the volume controls work after the new BIOS but I doubt since I didn't see any comment about it. I can't get my WiFi green light to toggle off with Fn F11 but you can still turn off the radio using the Gigabyte software.

So they're controlled by the BIOS?

You say that you're light doesn't turn off, but does the NIC?

I do like the Gigabyte driver/utility. It's pretty nice compared to some others that I've used.

What brand wireless routers support the 108 Mb mode? I've got a Linksys with the speed boost, but this card doesn't seem to recognize it.

Yes the front DJ is controled by the BIOS and whether the Laptop is powered on but still plugged in. No the Light does not turn off or on after installing the drivers. I would guess the Gigabyte 108 router. I not sure if it is still the case but the wifi card / router had to be the same maufacturer to get the 108 speed.
