External Speakers?

Has anyone attached external speakers to their 9860 yet?

I've got a nice set of JBL Creature speakers. However, they get a lot of interferance when hooked up to the sound-out port on the left hand side. I've also tried hooking them up to the headphone jack but that didn't work at all.

I spoke with a friend that owns an 8790 and she said that she had the same problems with hooking up external speakers (horrible interferance/fuzzy sound).

I just hooked up my headphones with an audo CD in and am picking up no interferance.

I don't have any externals handy to test for you Zoober.

I have old 2 Channel speakers hooked up and no interference. I also have some Bose noise canceling headphones with no problems.

yea external speakers sound horrid on these systems. I think the realtech audio chipset kinda sucks.

try a test: Unplug the laptop when you connect External speakers to it.
