Well the UPS man finally got here with my lappy and I must say it is a nice machine. I havn't loaded any games on it yet but I will be tonight. The left rest does get a little warm but nothing major. I also go no dead pixels and the screen is beautiful.

congrats btw, so do u have the 12 cell or 6 cell? Why did u pic the SXGA vs the UXGA? just curious, seen several people w/ reviews and side by side comparisons. Also is the rumor true on that there is less likely of dead pixels on a sxga vs the uxga? how's the portability? and battery life? I know u just got it so i figured I would load away w/ the questions ...thanks

I got both the 6 and 12 cell batteries but have not tested the battery life. This laptop will be very portable, I can't imagine getting the 9680, due to the size of the 3790 is just what I needed. I havn't loaded any games on it as of yet. I can't comment on the dead pixel uxga vs the sxga. The sxga res is good enough for me. If you have any eye problems then I would go with the sxga. I was going to wait for the sonoma chipset but I am very glad I got this laptop. So far this laptop is an excellent machine.

congratulation

yes it is, and with your config, you games will run fast...install the omega driver and it will boost your speed, max setting are 500/290. over that I have screwed my graphic card.it varies depending of the games.

hmm, i'm really tempted on getting this laptop...just debaiting on waiting for the "next" gen 3790 or just buying a nice DLP tv for my place haha, but I do need a laptop but not till jan. I might get both the DLP and lappy later...just trying to see what's best to do since I don't need a laptop right away.

Me personally if I could have waited I would have. My only problem is I had my wifes Mac and had to have something right now. For me it was I had to start somewhere.
