I want to know everyones opinion on the IBM G series notebooks. I want to know If it would be able to play CS and the Sims 2. I was thinking of one with a 3 Ghz Processor and 64 MB of dedicated video ram. I want to know if those two games can play on that one or one with a intergrated graphics chip.

Sims 2 I don't think you can.

CS can. I have a Toshiba 1135-S1553 and It can be played. I play on OpenGL 1024x768 and it's perfect. No lag _at all_, even on open scenes (like cs_assault).

could it play the sims 2 with the dedicated graphics?

dedicated graphics is a must for Sims 2, imo ATI 9600 64mb is the MINIMUM you need for Sims 2, of course ATI 9700 128mb or better is recommended.

IBM does have 9600 64MB as well as Fire GL with 128MB (needs omega drivers to play games better, is what I hear on this forum) so I'd say you could play those.

Not on the G Series that he asked about. Most of the G Series are Intel Extreme integrated or one of the lower nVidia setups.
You have to get a T Series to get the cards you mentioned.

Oh, I missed that he specified the series there.
