Carshes running benchmarks

I got the 9860 yesterday and installed xp with SP2 and the newest video drivers from the sager website (even tried with the ones on the CD)

When I try to run 3dmark or AquaMark it tries to load the test then either reboots or the screen blacks out requiring a hard reboot.

This is at both LCD default res and 1024x786 this aquamark and 3dmark run at default.

It just blacks out at LCD res in 3dmark. It reboots in 1024x786
It reboots in aquamark no matter what

I can't bench this thing. And it looks like anything requring pressure on the videocard crashes.

Have you installed all of your drivers? Downloaded the latest windows updates? Tried reinstalling the benchmarks?

Yep all drivers are up to date. Tried it with Sp2 and w/o it. Same thing. all settings are stock.

The Tomshardware review mentioned the same problem with Aquamark3. Commented that Nvidia was aware of the problem and were working on a solution. Haven't heard anything since.

I can run 3dmark03 and 05 with no problems but could only run aquamark3 once. Since then it crashed everytime.

I had crashes in 3dmark03 all night friday. It would crash at the cpu test. Woke up this morning and tried it again and it worked very well. Got 9278 with 3dmarko3 and 3758 with 3dmark05. Haven't done the Aquamark yet. I'm assuming it may be the heat that was causing the crashes.

Greetings fellow 9860 owners...
im running win2k sp4 with all the updated patches . I got 7168 on 3dmark03 but my system rebooted when i ran 3dmark05.
So your not alone.. does than mean some of those newer games or graphic products like 3d studio max are going to be unreliable?
Lets hope its just a driver problem? And has anyone tried using the WQL driver from the nvdia web site?

nightmare, try running 05 w/o the power cable plugged in. Mine actually finishes the test and gives me a 2300+ score. But it only completes w/o the power cable. If the power cable is plugged in, it reboots.

Also I managed to successfully run Farcry and Halo.. both directX games.

My copies of Lineage 2, Jedi Academy and I beleive BattleField Vietnam all use GL.
My only error message is a GL error from Jedi Academy.

i got the same result with the power cable out about 2300+
Then i plugged the power cable back in and retried the test and it worked this time and gave me 2526.
Thats strange because my systen was crashing yesterday even with the doom3 demo. The only think i did was reinstall the original drivers from the sagar cd..

ok AquaMark TriScore worked here are the results....
gfx 5709
cpu 5977
38,645

I bet your just having a driver problem... because initially i tried the new drivers from the nvidia web site which caused the crashes then reverted back to the cds.. so far i havent had a prob.
