Anyone used the ATI 4.11 or 4.12 betas on a laptop?

I have a Hypersonic(Clevo 5690) 3.2 gHz, 1g ram Gx6 with an ATI 9700 128m.

I can't install the ATI 4.11 or 4.12 betas, even when using the mobility modder tool(dhmodtool 2.0b).

Any comments welcome?

Yes I"ve used both & I like 4.12 better-a little faster & clearer on my GX7. Do a search on how to install these drivers-it's been explained before.

has there been corruption issues with them?

I had a bad experiance with the Omegas. The ones with the early version of the CCC. Not sure about the official ATi ones though.

I think if you install them correctly you should be fine. I have not had one problem with both 4.11 or 4.12 on any of my software or hardware with the GX7. As a matter of fact with the 4.12 I can even overclock higher than any other driver since the 4.8. Omega's drivers are always good overclockers too. Now thats with my notebook can't speak for anybody else.

Yes, but you guys have the GX7; which is a different notebook.

I get the error ""Setup was unable to find components that can be installed on your current hardware or software configuration. Please make sure you have the required hardware"
even with the use of dhmodtool 2.0b.

I beg to differ- Did you do the search on how to install ATI drivers manually? You will find all your answers on that search button.

The mod tool doesn't work with the newer drivers, and Patje still hasn't updated it yet.

The 4.12 betas were modded to install though, those are what I use on my CL56:
