With all the sites originally listing it as being a MR9600, I don't think it was a typo. Averatec must have given the resellers the wrong specs on the machine.

thus, typo or administrative cockup at Averatec

Newegg has updated the specs. It has an integrated SIS ultra 256..... Oh well.

err...so what does the guy who started this tread going to do? Err...i guess an RMA is in order since that was one messed up TYPO.

can you RMA at newegg? j/w because it says "specifications may change at any time or something like that"

I would either refuse shipment

OR

File a reversal with my CC company. CC's give you basically 90 day satisfaction protection. It's why I only ever do transactions via CC on the web.

Newegg is very good about RMAs typically. Specifications changing, and specifications never being as advertised are two completely different things. I feel Averatec should be held responsible for this with the vendors though, since it was obviously their misrepresentation with all retailers listing it as MR9600.
