Removing Dell partition

Somone posted this on the Dell site to remove the Dell system restore partition. "Look under the directory Dell\Utilities\DSR on your hard drive and you will find a file called DSRIRRemv2.exe Double click on this and then click the OK button to remove the Dell PC Restore partition (if you wish to)"

Anyone try it? I was going to, but I have a different HD.

I just used Norton Partition Magic to do it, I've had good experience and results with Partition Magic in the past so that's what I trust.

Just press CTRL F11 while the blue bar of www.dell.com shows up on your booting screen

I just did it today,using the tool and it took about 2 minutes to delete the backup partition and all went smoothly, gained me another 17Gig of drive space....Pretty simple , just choose the drive and Delete....

hmmmmm, operating a production machine without a quick way to install 5 hours of apps and without the install cd's... I think I will stick with my custom ghost image installed into the Restore Partition, that is why I got a 100GB drive.

there is a partition on your HDD that you should not delete, as it contains dianostic tools.

They are also on the resource CD, no need to waste hard drive space.
