A Strange Problem

I have never seen this before but lately the notification area (the far right side) of the taskbar in Win XP Pro has had a problem. The little yellow pop-up boxes that appear when you leave the mouse on the notification icons have popped-up behind the taskbar making them impossible to read except for small portion of them. Anyone know what causes this or how to fix it?

I've had that happen before with earlier versions of windows. In fact the right click menus would show up behind the menu bar. It's a bug in the explorer and or systray program. Will you ever see a fix for it from Microsoft? I doubt it.

You have a couple choices when this happens.

1. Log-off then log back in. This will restart the explorer.exe shell

2. Ctrl+Alt+Del the explorer.exe

3. Switch to a different shell Litestep,*box, etc.
