About Cell Processor 100 time faster than Intel 2.5G?

I read many article about cell processor that toshiba and IBM Sony are developping. Sony developpe it for playstation 3, but i head it could become desktop CPU.

Wow, 100 time faster than intell 2.5G, do we ever make a jump that far in the history of computer?

PS3 will release at the end of 2005, may be desktop CPU will be there at 2006. I think it too big to keep it only for PS3.

I don't really know about Toshiba, but IBM intent to use it in it's server and if it perform as well as it's suppose to, they will tell intel to put their Xeon processor up their .

In the begining if developpement, they said that moore's law was to slow from them.
