Just realized

...you may have asked to see pictures to ensure I have the laptop? If thats the case let me know and I will dig out my digital camera and snap a picture of me making a notebookforums post saying "see" lol. I can also email the actual invoice at the same time.

Let me know how I can be of further help.

Errr

If you click on the ebay link it may not work. They froze my account thinking there was fraud since I changed my email address then immediately posted an item for sell. I guess it threw a flag in their system. I am in the waiting queue with online help to get the problem fixed. I expect in about 20 minutes the link should be working again. I hope they dont make me rewrite my entire ad If thats the case I'll post a new link.

Might want to edit that as Alienware does not sell any Clevo D870P units that I've seen. They used to furnish the 56xx chassis to AW and now the 9860, but not the 8790.

If I had the spare cash, I'd pick it up for my brother

Bump for ya. You might've already taken it into account, but if not, I'd suggest using escrow.com for this.

Hmmm

I was mistaken thanks for the heads up. I'll change that today so nobody is misled.

Something like "Why waste money on Alienware...buy Sager" will do

I thought about using an escrow company. I've never used one before but this certainly is a lot of $. What are your thoughts on a paypal payment? If the funds are deposited into my account I'd be safe to ship at that point right?

PayPal isn't quite as safe as everyone thinks. I personally haven't had any problems with it, but there's been quite a few people over at the Anandtech forums FS/T section that have- many of them won't even deal with you if you try to pay with PayPal. I'm not sure what all is possible. A Google search might get you squared away~ I'd do it, but I'm at work, so don't have a whole lot o' time (lunch break).

Err

Just noticed I had the old 8790 screen listed on my ebay auction. It's been corrected on ebay and on this post to prevent confusion. My 8790 does have the: 17.0" WSXGA+ (1680 x 1050) screen.
Makes me wish I had the money to buy it for myself I've got the old 1440x900 screen. Can't imagine you won't find a buyer. Someone's gotta be salivating over that.

Hmmmm

Those were my thoughts too.

But....alas....
It's still available minus some very fishy fraud sounding emails from Nigeria. lol
