about to buy Acer Travelmate 4000LCi

newegg.com has Acer Travelmate 4000LCi for $815 shipped . this a centrino (2MB L2 = dothan?)

fits my budget and i cant seem to find a better laptop for the price ($800). but i cannot find any reviews for this particular model. anyone who knows of any reasons why i should not buy this?

actually i found two user comments at www.notebookreview.com and both said that it runs hot... no details or anything... not sure how to take this...

someone please help me decide before the deal runs out

Well, spec/price-wise it doesn't look bad, it'll serve you well as a basic office notebook.

Not sure about quality, but slap in some ram and you should be good to go.

Not a great deal, but a pretty fair deal considering the closest competition I could find (in five minutes) is the HP ze4000 which is about $100 more for the same specs.
