Well just wondering if anyone has tried out the newest available BIOS for the M6811?
I'm aware of the Gateway 52.00.1 version and I'm actually using it right now, but I happened to notice that there is a SECOND Gateway 7405GX (NS.00.02 - 10/16/04) as well as a more recent eMachines M6811 (0F08.P00 - 08/11/04) at http://www.rmecc.com/~v2/em/index.html. I'm curious to see if anyone else here has already flashed and seen if any of these last two are improvement? I'd do it myself, but I'm currently having problems with my CD/DVDRW drive on this M6809 and I'm planning on taking it into Best Buy for repair when I return home to the US this Xmas Holiday.
(So I have to flash it back to stock BIOS, so it appears that I haven't voided my warranty! As if the BIOS is the most I've done to this system
)
Well let us all know! Thanks!

I flashed it last night and windows did not restart, I had to power down with the button, but it did flash correctly. I did not notice any difference in anything.

. I bet Arima has just an awesome BIOS in-house for testing......
