4780 Won't Recognize hard drives

I just received my 4780 back from an RMA, and hard disks are not being recognized at boot. I shipped the machine to Sager without the disk, and upon return tried 2 different drives in the machine, and neither of them are being detected. Also, Sager flashed the BIOS.

Also, WTF is the BIOS interface restricted? I am unable to change the primary drive to "auto" from "none", and someone @Sager decided to set the bios as shadowed, which cannot be changed.

I'm in friggin Canada, and after waiting long time to ship this machine for the RMA, and pay shipping, am a little upset.

Just curious as to why u would by the sager from the US if you are in canada and the distributor for clevo up here is Eurocom which would have let u avoid the cross border shipping issues.

As for you questions as far as I remember the bios has always been set as shadowed in the firmware. I'll take a look in my firmware and see if I can change the hdd setting in it. I'm using 1.03 and have access to another one with shipping 1.0 so I should be able to compare to see if either of these have changed with the firmware updates. Speaking of which, what version of firmware do you have now?

doh, nevermind me checking my bios, for some reason I read your thread as 4750, which is same as d470k... so I can't do apples to apples comparisson for you.
