This does actually involve computers, so bear with me.
I was recently playing on xbox live with my friends, and we ended up doing a team skirmish on headlong playing land grab. It started out ok as we made our way to some of the plots. But as we started to encounter the other team a few things became really weird. First, they were hauling ass! They seemed to be moving a bit faster then us. Seconding, I totally got the drop on one guy and long story short I got 4 point blank shots on him with the shotgun. His shield went down on the fourth shot, he laughed and pulled out a sword and lunged me. Of course I died and initially I chalked it up to lag, but I had a green connection throughout the entire match and my teammated made alot of complaints about close to the same thing. It became fairly obvious something wasn't right when they started out right laughing at us as they took massive amounts of fire and only one died, because he took 2 hits from a rocket launcher. I used to play rainbow six 3 alot and I know they had game shark for that. It caused massive chaos because of all the stupid cheats that could be used online, and they finallly made an anti-cheat system that could detect if you were using game shark and ban you.
I know that game shark basically (put in laymens terms) hacked the game and saved the changes that you wanted to make to the hard drive. I'm also sure that they've already installed the anti cheat system in halo 2 (atleast I hope so). But it is also obvious that these guys weren't playing fair. If it would've been just me, I would've chalked it up to my lack of skill, but I got some relaly good friends, level ten was achieved on the first night type of guys. We were all convinced they were cheating, but how? Wouldn't microsoft detect this? Has anyone else experienced this? I know you required a computer to hack it, has anyone tried this before just for the fun of it?
