Hey guys, i just recieved my I 9200 with wuxga and ???. OMG What the Hell??? THe Screen Has This hazy ugly confusing look on it and it sux!!! Doesnt dell people see that when they build it??? OMG i feel so bad now!!! im gonna play around with it some more if i can get the screen to look good and make everything smaller cause it just looks the same exact thing as my wxga i8500??? Oww man i hope i can fix this or this thing is going back to dell??? ill loose about $100 for shipping but thats better than paying for a $2000 system that will not suit me. but thats just me. Ill give it some time and hear out suggestions from other owners and hope i ddnt make the wrong decition in buying the 9200...

just complain and they may ship a new one to you.

Play around, put the DPI back to the 'proper' 96 and such. You really haven't described what your problem with it is very well so tere is not much we can do...

concerned

That's the third note I've seen about haziness on the 17"UXGA screen (a couple of people on another forum mentioned it too). Anyone else with the UXGA screen see the same issue?

If so, maybe I can still cancel my order and switch to the XGA+ screen...

Thanks in advance...

it also hurts looking at the screen on the 9200 compared to my i8500 but the i9200 has a brighter screen though

i also have the hazyness... but after usign this thign constantyl sicne ive gotten it i dotn notice it anymore.. i swtarted to bother me int he beginning shifting from a crt to this, but now its all good..(its still there)

im pretty sure its something with the screen itself because even the bios logo shows it ect.. unless maybe a bios update cna fix it.. but i doubt it since if u move your head its still in the same spots with same inensity nto changeing when a movie or something is playing... not sure why dell did this and its not a proitective layer infront

i have my 2 laptops next to next and i cant even look at the screen for a long time
i like the 1900xsomething when i lower my dpi from 126 to normal size 96. im used to high resolutions so i like that but the screen, it like it blured my vision more that it was 10 minutes ago and my sight is getting bad. its like a mirror inside pushing light everywhere. im still configuring something...

Is everyone with the WUXGA having the same issue?

That sucks, I was going to orfer the WUXGA by if there is a problem then I don't want it and I for sure don't want XGA.

I also have the WUXGA i9200 and have now had some time to use it. Are you all referring to the "graininess" that is apparent if you look closely at the screen? Especially on white backgrounds it appears to me to be this kind of sparkly graininess. It is not bothering me too much but it is a little strange. I also have noticed that the area around the start button (slightly above) is a little darker than the rest of the screen. Maybe the screen is so big that it is just the angle.

Not likely, unless you want to make the claim that the moisture was only seeking out 9200 owners with a WUXGA screen. I have never seen anything like this on a notebook.
