I doubt it; you'll probabbly have to do like I do and spend hours on the phone with them. Talk to a supervisor thoug hand you will most likely get the best results

inspiron9200: I merged the two threads, please avoid creating too many, the last thing this board needs is more clutter.

Is it actually the LCD? Or is it a film over the screen?

I'm pretty sure you guys are talking about the anti-glare coating on the LCD. There's another thread here where somebody says his 8600 looks "dusty" and "fuzzy." I originally bought a 9100 with WUXGA, and I couldn't stand the effect of the coating on the display -- it interacted in a weird way with the pixels, and my eyes were constantly shifting focus. I returned the WUXGA and got a WSXGA+ instead -- much more tolerable.

it seems your one of those ppl who has bad luck with the machine (ie one problem after another)

I think Dell should have gone with the glossy coating for the WUXGA. It really looks great on the 700m. Grab the nearest physics major, and have them look at your WUXGA. I'll bet they say "gee, you've got a diffraction grid!" You can even buy glasses that will give you the same annoying effect as small pixels shining through an anti-glare mesh:

Wow, moderator BobT on the Dell Community forums really is incompetent. Or has no idea how to handle the issue.

I was so blown away by his useless comment that I had to read it again to make sure he posted what I thought he posted. Amazing.

Well all I can say is WTF, what kind of answer is that.

I call that stating the F***ing obvious.

I am also interested in purchasing an i9200 WUXGA, but until Dell can sort this out, and get a moderator that can give proper answers to serious questions I certainly will not be purchasing.

and now what?
i ordered WUXGA because i need WUXGA. i don't want my money back or different resolution.
