Bluetooth Module - Dell says I also need cable assembly?

When I called Dell to place an order for a TrueMobile 300 Bluetooth Module the lady told me I will also need the $4.95 "Cable Assembly". She wasn't able to tell me what it was for other than "it's required". Anyone know what this is? Do I need it? Thanks.

take out your battery and you will notice a door inside the bay. Open that door and that is where the bluetooth module goes. There should be a cable inside. If not, I believe that is the 4.95 "cable assy" you need as there is no other cable that looks like it will fit.

Here's a picture I took. Looks like I have the "cable assembly" - I should be good to go with just the BlueTooth Module, right?

you're fine - just get the card and you'll be AOK

extra cable not needed

I bought the extra cable and it is now sitting in a box with all my other extra cables, it is not needed with the 9100

The extra cable as far as I can tell is for models such as the D505 and similar.

You need to purchase the cable for the 8600 as well.

$10 savings? Not bad. Don't forget to add that $299 for your Mobility Radeon 9800 to your "low price of $1145"(insert jumping bannana, or whatever).

DanFortH,

I took your advice and got a new Wireless IntelliMouse Explorer 2.0 tonight!!!! I still have to update the drivers, but I think it's going to be awesome. Jesus Christ is my Lord and Saviour. Everybody keep up the good work. This is far and away the best forum for lappy users.
Peace.

Zip,

I hope you enjoy your new product. I posted a response to your angry post about me earlier. Please take the time to read it and maybe we will understand each other a bit better. Thank you.
Peace,

$1145 includes the 9800 . Without the 9800 i was just under $900.

You got it. I actually purchased 3 9100s and an 8600 at the time of the offer, after selling the other 3 laptops it made this one free.
