I'm not saying anything negative about you, Ryanjoseph. Its just that there are a number of things that could happen during the next few months that could prevent you from paying Twoodcc. Even with your best intentions of paying him, you can't forsee the future.

i see what your saying Dax. and that's why i posted it here so i could get others opinions. the reason why i even considered doing this is because it's not a big deal to me about getting all the money at one time, but like you said, no one can see the future, and something could come up. and as soon as i send the laptop, there's nothing i can do to make him pay, right?

ill send you a down payment before you send the laptop. then id be sending you more money, most likely before christmas.

i cant get alot of money right now, but i could probally get a small down payment.

i have a AMD processor 1.8GHz with the mother board and heatsink, i know the processor works, i was useing it about a month ago. if you want i could give you that with some money for a down payment, i have no use for it, you dont even have to deduct money off, its just something i have no use for anymore.

why don't you get your mom or dad to pay for twoodcc's laptop.
then you can make the monthly payments to your parents.

everyone wins.
twoodcc gets his money early
you get the laptop
your parents is guaranteed you pay them

well, both my parents dont have that much money. they deffinatly dont have the money anytime soon, ill probally be making more than my mom at my new job. im going to be making around $1500.00 a month, i believe i could have it paid off in 2 months. if i cant pay it. i could get the money to pay for it. from my mom, dad, or brother. ( my brother is older than me and he makes more than me).

Dude, no offense, but if you can't afford to pay for a laptop straight up, and neither can both your parents, and you need to make payments you should:

A. Not get one
B. Save up some cash until you can, even though its not wise purchasing an expensive laptop if money is so hard to come by for you

for his gateway with these specs:

integrated graphics
dvd-rw 2.4x

integrated wireless
15" screen (1400 x 1050 max resolution)

my alienware is 1.5 years old. do you think i should do? fair trade?
