Wanting to build Desktop

Thread Starter
Was looking around and I found the NW Falcon Fragbox with a neat little case, I was wondering where to find a case like that and how they shoved a 500W PSU into something that small without any heat problems, if anyone has any clue, please reply, thanks

I could be wrong but it looks like a modded Shuttle case to me. They probably swapped the PS for that 500W monster.

Here's a side-by-side for you. I sort of agree Fragbox has the look of the Shuttle, but the shuttle box designs seem to have a commonality amongst them missing in the Fragbox:

All the USB, Firewire(or 1394, or whatever the hell that small out is!), and the mic outs seem to fall at the bottom of the box, with the DVD drive sitting in the middle. If Falcon did use a Shuttle, they did, indeed, mod the crap out of it!

I think thats a custom case, but im pretty sure it uses Small Form Factor PC parts inside, which is what a shuttle uses. I think that custom case also accomodates a full size ATX PSU cuz ive never seen a SFF PC hit 500W on their tiny little PSUs.

Screensavers did a review of that and 2 other portable desktops. Falcon posted the video of it on their website HERE. The VooDoo just used a shuttle case and its like half the size of the fragbox so its a custom case of some sort. It is pretty bad ass though, they jammed that box full of some kick ass gear. PCI-X 6800 and DDR-2 ram and everything.

The Fragbox uses a custom case designed by Silverstone (silverstonetek.com).
