Sager NP3790 WUXGA screen

So, I just ordered one of these with the WUXGA screen (coding and graphics make it a good thing for me). I just read that there may be a problem with the response time of this screen...

Is this true? Is it bad for gaming? I would guess that reducing the resolution and having the notebook scale to the display would make things a bit fuzzy, but what about the response time? Does the WUXGA screen smear or shadow with motion?

Edit: Before you scream "DO A SEARCH", I have yet to come across a post that addresses screen response times. People seem more concerned with bright/dim or sharp/fuzzy comparisons... How about response time?

Thanks for the info!

I don't know what the exact response time is, but I game on my WUXGA all the time, and I don't have a single bad thing to say about it. Tribes 2, UT2k4, and Men of Valor all look great. Getting them to play nice with the wide screen is a different story--check out http://www.widescreengamingforum.com for workarounds that help get popular games running in WxXGA resolutions.

Cool. That's the response I was hoping for. The WUXGA is too valuable for other things (like multiple windows. graphics, etc.) to be avoided because of games, unless it is simply unuseable... Looks like it's fine.

AWESOME screen! I don't see what the big deal is. This screen (WUXGA) is easy to read and gaming is no problem.

I was afraid of purchasing a Sager notebook too, but this is a very solid notebook with excellent build quality. I can't find anything to complain about (aside from the existence of fans, but you need them!).

Full Screen gaming will look just as sharp at lower resolutions. The desktop resolutions will smear very badly, so the desktop has to stay at native 1920X1200.

I set the dpi setting to 144 in advanced display properties with 9 and 10 pt fonts for the desktop.

For web browsing, I also recommend using a fixed font pair(Georgia and Courier New, for me) and disable styles and font sizes in Accesibility under Internet Tools. Some sites will still look funky, but it's a compromise that seems to work.
