I don't know what's happened! I tried 5.4 5.6 5.7 (omega & official catalyst with mod). everytime the same problem! now I want to try catalist 5.3. but I think I'll not solve the problem! in fact today one guy with a ferrari 3200, here in this forum, told that he has catalyst 5.7!!everythings all right!

Acer Ferrari 3300 CPU temperature using Windows XP x64

I've installed windows x64 in my ferrari but now i can't use MobileMeter to monitor my cpu temperature . Does anybody know a programa that can handle that under x64?

winx64 temperature monitor

The latest AMD powernow dashboard (version 2.0) shows cpu temperature as well as voltage and speed. You can get it from the AMD web site. It runs fine as a native x64 app.

drive and memory upgrades

As Snorre has posted, 1GB of RAM and a fast drive work well in the F3400. The latest 120GB 5400 RPM drive from Seagate (momentus) was reviewed by Tom's Hardware today as being as fast in data transfer as the Hitachi 60GB 7200 RPM drive. The temperature under the left hand is still high. My impression is that WinXP x-64 keeps the drive cooler, but that may be wishful thinking.

I was noticing the other day, that the 1GB chip I added a while back seems to run exceptionally hot. After the laptop has been on for 15mins the chip is nearly too hot to touch.
Is this normal, anybody else notice their additional ram running hot?

I've had the laptop for nearly year, I guess I'm paying more attention to this now that it summer and hotter here.
