Well since selling my laptop and builiding my own I Dont have much info to give on the new alienwares and I have been in more desktop forums. But I sitll love this forum and pop in and out every once and a while to see how youguys are doing.

There full review wasnt too kind. They basically said dont buy because it was over priced and under powered and that the HP and Fujitsu they compared it to were better and cheaper.

To be fair to AW the model they reviewed was configured with a 5400rpm drive and the 1.7 chip with only 1mb L2 cache. I think most folks will be getting the 7200rpm drive with the 2mb L2 cache which will substantially increase performance.

Yes but AW was offerning a 1.7 with only 1mb L2 Cache which is the one CNet used in their review.
