Dell Inspiron 1100 CPU Upgrade question

I have recently purchased a second hand Inspiron 1100. Its pretty decent for what I need.

It has a celeron 2.2 Proc. I happened to have a spare 2.4 400fsb 478 socket P4. If I pop in the 2.4a 400fsb proc. do I need a Bios update? Or will it recognize it in the bios?

That should be fine, the BIOS should not need to be changed so go ahead. Just be very careful performing the upgrade.
