Disappointed too

I too am disappointed and don't know why it took so long to send the coupon out, especially since I played this game and followed the rules. Techman, I appreciate your offer of coupons but perhaps next time have a bit of trust and if you do have to get something out of this, then perhaps just send the coupons out in a timely fashion when the status is pending. Xmas is approaching and to force people to wait until closer to Xmas where there's probably no chance that the laptop will even be received by the new year let alone Xmas, is entirely avoidable

I'm still in two minds whether to pull the trigger and use a no hassle 25% off Dell coupon to get the 9200 or just get something cheap and cheerful like the Averatec 5500 (yes, very different from a 9200) but something I can use now and fleabay in the New year

Everyone please understand that I had no clue that this would happen. If I had any idea that this would happen, I wouldn’t have played the game. I don’t try to steal from anyone. I’m a down to earth guy here in Alabama. And if I could, I would come to each of your houses and apologize the politically correct way.

But please, I beg every one of you for my full forgiveness.

While the 20% off coupon should still be active later on after the $200 off early bird ends, I will still alert every one of you of the best deal around. On each coupon, the coupon says it expires 1-15-05.

So what you could do is:

[1] Call dell and complain and argue with them until they give you the deal.
[2] Wait until dell ends this silly deal they have now and come out with anther one.

Again, I don’t know how to express my deepest apologies to all of you. No one could have predicted this.

I’ll have to come up with something for all of those who played my game and did not get a deal like you had wanted. I’ll think about it…

Please understand.

Merry Christmas, and happy New Year!

Respectfully,
Clayton Rice

It's not like you did anything dishonest. You didn't hold a gun to anyone's head (did you?).

On the other hand, thanks to you I got a great deal on this i9200 with a REALLY CRAPPY WUXGA screen. I think as atonement for your sins, you need to buy this from me for the price I paid. Otherwise you will likely spend eternity in a very unpleasant hot place of endless agony...

The Dell fabrication plant in Malaysia!!!

I just got my confirmation email for one of the deals. My deal should go through and clear with the site I would hope today... Any hopes on getting a coupon now? I'd like to try to do this and if anything call and complain... It would help if I had the coupon though... I played your game and am just waiting for that confirmation, I would assume it will go through very soon.

Techman,
No one is suggesting that you're dishonest or that you've stolen anything. It's just frustrating to have to go through then rigmarole of playing your game and having to hand over a credit card to sign up for an offer, then wait for who knows how long to get some coupon, knowing full well that the situation could have been completely avoided in the first place. So we have to look elsewhere for a deal. Good luck to those who got in

My dell EPP coupons say they have to be redeemed by the 5th of January, not the 15th. Might want to check yours again.

Well, the weird thing is that when I apply it, it says it expires the 15th. I wonder which is right?

In the email it said it had to be redeemed by the 5th.

Most of the coupons expire the 15th/5th is 1/05. That's what I'm trying to say.

I thought posting these types of "Games" were against the rules on the board?

Unless you get so PO'd at Dell you decide to buy a Sager from PC Torque instead.
