Neither is it for your so called "this computer".
It is an i9100 with a gig of RAM, 60 gig 7200rpm drive, and an MR9800. Sorry I don't need to post all of my toys in my sig. I come here to LEARN about this stuff from smart people like you but I prefer other people who are more polite and get that when I say "this laptop" I read English and understand thread topic.
BTW, I think it is just PLAIN SILLY to blow 300 for a video card only to be unhappy within two months. Geez, get a life.
As for a portable, go with a damn SFF. Laptops are and were always meant for business travelers. Being an opera singer (for real) I am one of them. I am just thinking, geez, if you just dropped 300 for an MR9800 and it games awesome, why do you need more right NOW?? I need to keep in contact with you and grovel for your "low-end" stuff. Because if you upgrade this often I would be in heaven with your low end. I got an A64 3500 Winchester, an Asus A8V Delux Rev 2.0, a BFG 6800 GT OC at 400/1100, and a gig of Samsung TCCD for my main rig and I plan on keeping this for a while. If I need to game HL2 at MAX settings I do it on my main rig though it plays damn well on my lappy. When you decide you need "more power" I'll gladly buy your "OLD" XPS at some point. At a discount of course
