Taken from a article of LAPTOP Mag. Sept. 2004 issue … where Toshiba M2 was EDITOR'S CHOICE for Presentation Notebooks … vs Dell Latitude D400,Hewlett-Pakard Compaq nc6000,IBM ThinkPad T42

FYI: The Toshiba M2 in this Review had the BEST Output to S-Video Port.
LapTop Mag. said it was one of the best they have "Ever" seen. And that it was best with the Clear Type Disabled.
The IBM T42 had a high quality S-video port image but had More interlace flicker than other notebooks.
In this review fyi, the Toshiba M2 had the least amount of screen flicker.

My friend that has a Sony and Toshiba 17" ... both with Large LCD's. Told me that he thought the only thing he liked better about the Sony's Presentation Output was it's ability to Display THIN screen Fonts better than say the Toshiba. (but for the most part he likes the Toshiba Better)
* My suspicion is the problem is the Clear Type Default.
I "just" told him about that ... and asked him to check it out on his next prep on a Presentation.
