We'll see if the support is still good and the quality stays good after IBM sells the pc business to China.

Sure will.
They will still be designing and supporting the machines.
If this deal does go through it will be for the manufacturing of.
If this goes through it will most likely be very transparent.
So far it being blown way out of proportion.

Well I loved mine. In fact I've loved mine since 2000 (an A21m PIII-800). That is until last week when I called to speak to a tech guy or gal, and was told it would cost $190.00 an hour to speak to a human being, with a minimum charge of two hours....
I thought I had a simple question. Is my screen shot? I can see the icons where they normally are but the screen is dark-----------very dark. In fact I have to use a magnifying glass to make things out. Everything works if I can just see where the mouse is. I've attached an external monitor for now, but I sure would have liked to have a short conversation with a real person...

You've never heard of such a screen problem, or the outrageous charges by IBM? I live in Ontario Canada, so it may be different somewhere else, but those are the charges that were quoted to me.
Has anyone heard of such screen problems? Is this how dead or dieing screens act?

Thanking you in advance,

Brett

I dont get hte point of this thread. ISNT this whole forum section about IBMs? and pictures of IBMs? Why combine it all to one thread, just makes it a killing to search through multiple page.
