Sager 9860 Purchasing Questions

Thread Starter
Greetings from Ireland !

I'm about to order a Sager 9860, and have one or two questions to ask:

Spec is:

P4 2.6GHz
2GB RAM
2 x 80GB SATA Drives with RAID 0/RAID 1
CDRW
DVDRW
etc.

1. I work as a programmer. I really want a fast machine so RAID 0
with 2 x 80 5,400RPM SATA Drives seems like it could be a candidate. The
catch is ... I can't really afford to have HD failure. Would I be better with
RAID 1 or are the HD's reliable enough not to worry about it, and how big
a speed difference exists between RAID 0 and RAID 1? Am I right in saying
RAID 0 = 2 x 5,400RPM (roughly), while RAID 1 is 1 x 5,400RPM.

2. Do the Targus bags (I think it was 312) fit the 9860?

3. Anyone know of shipping times to Europe/Ireland?

4. Where did sacrificing banana's come from ;o)

BTW - Excellant Forum and Very Helpful !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In my world hd's are never reliable enough. They are like lightbulbs, eventually they'll stop working. Back up everything, all the time. And don't worry about hd failure, it's just a matter of time.
