Satisfied so far; I only wish it supported more than 2GB of RAM.

Who the heck needs more than 2 gig of ram? At least for the next year or so.

Some of us do; perhaps you should ask yourself - "who the heck needs a computer?"

Well, what *do* you do that needs so much memory? I know there are usages, I just don't know details.

If you were working on several huge file in photshop cs, and simultaneously running another graphics or web app like studio MX, a ton of RAM would be useful to move from app to app and keep the the HDD from paging everything you're working on to the disk. No big deal if that's the case, but keeping everything in memory is like the difference between running an old N64 game with cartridges and a PS2 - your 'puter doesn't have to read through a disk table to find data, it's right there at your fingertips, just like the old carts!

I remember in High School I took a computer graphics class that used Photoshop, Bryce, MetaCreations and other graphic programs. The compies "only" had 512 MBs Ram and it took FOREVER to render 3D images in bryce, and big photoshop files pwned the computers Ram.

Good, but not perfect. Having trouble with the keyboard, since I've never used a laptop keyboard before. The EZButton thing for CL56 is also kind of annoying to use for wireless. I just don't like having things installed.

What applications are you using Ofelas, if you don't mind me asking? I have almost pulled the trigger so many times on the M60 (no pun intended), but am reluctanct as I've had people tell me a AMD64 with the powersaver would be a better choice. That, and I kinda want a number pad (which requires a 17" screen-- but only Sony has that w/ WUXGA?)
