alot of people said it was bigger/heavier/not as good screen quality as they had hoped. I think alot of people bought it on impulse as the fatwallet people tend to do and it didnt live up to the hype in their minds. Also dell has had some bad press recently for not honoring rebates or taking forever to get them back, check the official dell forums for more on that.
I love mine that I got during that fatwallet deal. SXGA+ screen, Pentium M 1.6, 512 ram, 40 gig 5400 rpm, 64 meg M9 in a nice thin and light machine all for under $1400 (after tax) wasn't something I was about to pass up. (btw I think the $150 rebate went through as well because the wording wasn't clear whether or not it was stackable with the free ram upgrade) which would bring the price to under $1250
yah I dont know firsthand the quality, but I know some people were unhappy with it and alot more were unhappy with the compaq x1000 deal that just went down, something to be said for an offer too good to be true heh.
