Acer Ferrari Questions

Thread Starter
Had this bad boy for a few days now and have a few further questions

Where's snorre ?

1: Does the docking station have a power button on it? I never thought about this before but my old vaio had power on the front so the laptop did not need to be opened to turn it on so you could dock and work straight away.

2: Can you multiplier overclock with the power now still on, ie I like the thermal throttling and find the desktop setting too noisy so would like to see the laptop go from 5 to 11 multiplier instead of 4 to 10?? possible?

3: Is the laptop meant to go into standby when you close the screen over a bit? If I pull it forward but don't fully close it it seens to power down. Is this a feature or a problem?

Loving everything else though

I don't think so, but from the specs I know it got the following ports:

2 x Hi-Speed USB - 4 pin USB Type A
1 x parallel - IEEE 1284 (EPP/ECP) - 25-pin D-Sub (DB-25)
1 x LAN - RJ-45
1 x serial - RS-232 - 9-pin D-Sub (DB-9)
1 x VGA - 15-pin HD D-Sub (HD-15)
1 x S-video
1 x audio - line-out - stereo minijack 3,5 mm
1 x audio - line-In
1 x mic - minijack 3,5 mm
1 x keyboard - 6-pin mini-DIN (PS/2)
1 x mouse - 6-pin mini-DIN (PS/2)

No, PowerNow! overrides any overclock so you have to turn it off.

Go the the Power Options in the Control Panel and under the Advanced tab you can configure the notebooks power options.

For 'When I close the lid of my portable computer' simply select "Do nothing", ok?
