Which vid card to get? X800 AGP, or 9800 Pro

I was planning on getting a new video card for my custom comp, has geforce 4 ti4200 64mb in it right now, and was wondering if I should go for the 9800 pro or opt for the X800 AGP. I do not need a UNBELIVABLE vid card as the geforce 4 works with hl2 and css fine. I want a faster one though so I can run at 1600x1200 without a hitch.

x800 is better than 9800pro but the 9800 pro is a great card and very affordable.

I thought the X800 series only contained the X800pro, X800XT and X800XT PE, didnt think it had a non pro version.

Anyway, If you can afford the X800 series cards, they are the best around and almost double the performance of the 9800pro, but the 9800pro gives the best bang for the buck and can play your simpler games at 1600 x 1200 without a hitch.

ya go for 9800 pro. ull easily get wut u want at rather cheaper price than x800

The 6800nu is also a very good alternative to all that, it's cheap, slightly more expensive than the 9800pro and can easily outmatch it's performance, though keep in mind ATi cards play HL2 better than Nvidia cards in most cases and vice versa for Doom3.

I would rather get a x800pro over a 6800GT
