JFvergara - did you have any issues plugging in your laptop in japan? is it 220v? the ac adapters have volt auto switching right? also, when you type, does the monitor sometimes shake? the hinges connecting the lcd to the main laptop don't seem tight enough, thats an issue i've been having for awhile now, i want to open the dang thing open and tighten it somehow.
oh well, i'll just dope up on some sleeping pills and watch a few movies with what batteries i have.
Are you going to Japan as well? I come from Vancouver, British columbia and my flight was just about that long. I had to take a 2 hour flight to San Francisco then a grueling 12 - 14 hour flight to Kansai International Airport, and then a grueling 4 hour train ride to my city. Umm in regards to the Power voltage I had to buy a little device that lets me plug it in to the wall socket because they dont have the 3rd prong socket here in Japan that comes with our laptops. But they do have extension cords here with the 3rd prong so it shouldnt be a problem (Just mostly the language barrier in trying to FIND an "Extension cord" Haha!) My moniter shakes slightly, I actually didnt notice it until you told me about it....but that's because I type at something like 95 wps and it may be due to my kotatsu table which is a bit unstable.
In regards to the power connector on the flight, I wanted to do the same thing but keep in mind that you probably wont be getting a socket unless your in first class. I had coach and coach + on the way here and I dont think they had a socket. Besides the battaries in conjunction were more then enough to play a little bit of Warcraft 3, watch both Pitch Black + Chronicals of Riddick and just write up my schedule. Other then that I slept, talked to the funny african american guy who was going to Okinawa and just watched the inflight movies. I dont recommend the sleeping pills, you'll sleep through the 30 inflight meals that just pl;ain starts to annoy you!
Anyway post again if you have questions.
