I was just wondering how many of us on the boards ordered a 7700?
If you did, reply with what stage you are on.

I will be first.

I ordered one, problems with paper work, as of now I am in phase 5!

Let here where you are and I would like to see who is going to get theirs first.

Considering the 51m 7700

Good Morning to All,

I am new to this forum and have a question or two to ask concerning two LapTop Gaming/DeskTop Replacement systems.

I am considering the Alienware 51m 7700 and the Dell XPS. I printed the specs for both, compared both side by side and with perhaps a few minor differences they are both about the same price and offer more or less the same performance. Dell is a recognized brand and has received rave reviews (with the exception that is is a lead-brick when it comes to weight) whereas I have not read much about nor heard much about Sager laptop systems.

I noticed quite a few postings here refer to the Sager laptops, is there a particular reason people prefer the Sager to say a Dell or any other laptop?

I ordered one on 2004.11.12 and still on phase 2 like everyone. Mine has to come APO, so I know I won't be getting it first. We do have DHL here, so I was weighing the possibilites of having it shipped home, then having someone ship it to me VIA DHL. WRONG! They want freaking 588.xx USD to ship! I think not!

Order 12-3, Phase 4, ship Jan6, Seems like it's going too be forever. I already sold my old Hp 5185. I'll be going through withdrawls when I go back to work

shatavaar, what phase are you in?

I'm in phase 2 like most people, weird that some people are more ahead in the phase as the parts haven't come yet.

well,

i'm just being optimistic, mine should be shipping on the 16th.

I've also got emails stating that parts have been delayed for another 7 to 10 days ... at the same time i've called in and cust. support says i'm on schedule....

I've explained the pre-order process in other threads. if you put a down payment and/or your parts take 28+ days to arrive at AW i'm not sure how most of the peaple can claim they got past 2 or 3 and 4 to tell you the truth.

AW does not charge for the full amount till prior to shipping... again i'm not sure how ya'll got past 2.

anyhoo .. again i'm just being optimistic, i've waited this long its nice to be alittle optimistic. if it does great! if not ohh well.

btw- i'm also at phase 2. I do know i'm one of the first on the production line up. but who knows.. all i care is i get it

GOD the wait is killing me.....

Phase 8

Well -- I ordered sometime in early November, 2 days after they first put them up on the website. I ordered 2 of them (me and my friend ordered together); also, we insisted they take all of the money right away.

Maybe that's why I seem to be further in phases than any of you.

I've been in Phase 8 for 5 days now.
