I'd appreciate any help as soon as possible on this matter. The computer is a friend's, a Compaq Presario R3000. The touchpad won't respond to tapping anymore and you have to use the buttons. But the scroll area works. I've gone into the control panel, drivers are fine, and the "tapping" selection box is checked, but it won't work. Has anyone had that same experience? Could you please help me? It's a real pain in the rear for my friend, he's doing a lot of research on the internet for a project right now and he doesn't have his USB mouse with him. Thank you for any help!
