I have the same issues, mine will be going back to Alienware probably but only when I dont need it daily.

I've had similar problems but on an Area-51m 5500 and I've been told that the Depot has/is changing the chassis & motherboard and the system is going through the Depot process fine now. I'll be getting it back next week hopefully.

Sounds like there's no home-grown fix for this problem. Sorry to disappoint.
