what is coming and when

Everyone is talking about wait till january.. have things already been announced? If they are going tobe announced in Jan, then they will be shipping en masse in what late april? So if we are all sitting here waiting for pci-e new pentium m, new amd... it could be almost half a year...

what has been announced? any links for me? What makes everyone so sure greatness is coming.. and what is the next iteration of the radeon family?

ahh they are using broadcom.. so much for that idea.. they never release drivers for linux.. ever.

What is wrong with Broadcom and Linux?

I want to get an AMD Notebook, but I also want to run Linux, so I am torn between Intel and hearing Broadcom sucks... but I don't know why.

Also Jan/Feb is the rumoured release of Intel's next Centrino package called Sonoma using the Alviso chipset.
