They mention the WUXGA display anti glare coating but they certainly don't make a big deal of it like the uproar about it on threads in this forum.

This confused me as well. More so since they did not mention it in the summary as a "con." Even more interesting was the comment that Dell didn't have an xga model available so they could compare the 2 side by side. WTF is that?

It means Dell wouldnt send them a XGA model for free...

or because Dell didn't want Cnet to comment the difference between the two.

It's weird an 8.3 would get editor's choice.

not really, if u look at other reviews done by cnet. Its pretty consistent w/ how they do reviews.

They usually never give a 9 or higher to any product
post #11 of 16
IMO, reviews of 9 or higher are so rare that when you do find one of some type of item you're looking for, you absolutely need to get it. I got the Logitech Z-2300 2.1 speaker set and have no regretted the decision.

wutwjd, I have the predecessors, the Z-2200 2.1 speakers, and they're amazing. I love them. Eventually I may move to 5.1 but these do the job more than adequately. They're even better than my Panasonic stereo system I sold off because I moved my music collection to my comp.

i wouldnt get a 9200 right now... think about the 8500 - only improvement over the 8200 was the screen
post #14 of 16
If you don't want the 1920 res screen there have been no complaints with the 1440. Not everyone is a dpi junkie.

Maybe not from CNET themselves, but almost every user review cnet includes bashes the wuxga screen -- the reviews are 35% positive/65% negative.
