AMD Athlon 64 3400+ running at only 800 MHz

Both the power-on screens and Belarc Advisor say that my AMD Athlon 64 3400+ in my Uniwill 258ka0 notebook is only running at 800 MHz.

How do I get it to run at full speed?

Thats a known issue with the Windows and AMDs driver... Your processor is running @ 2.2GHz unless it is throttling down, in which case select the always on scheme in power options.

CPUZ also confirms that my 3400+ is only doing 800MHz. Is there anyway I can restrict it to full speed while I am plugged into the wall?

I had the same problem. I just reloaded the cpu driver found on AMD's website and rechecked it with CPUZ and CPUID and both showed it was running at 2.2gig. I now use Speedswitch as well to make sure its running at the proper speed at all times.
