Using mic on counterstrike source

my mic does not seem to be working properly. other guys on the server that i'm playing on are telling me that they are not hearing me correctly. i have the mic boost gain set in the counterstrike source voice options, but does anyone else have any other suggestions?

anyone else having probs with other guys on cs source hearing you speak clearly on your built in mic on the 9100 or ixps?

The built in mic is not good to begin with. It picks up all surrounding noise so the sound is always distorted. You should try using an external mic. This will fix your problem.

I like my Logiteh Mobile Freedom for Bluetooth. It's a nice headset, and it's wireless.

Very true...if you fiddle around with it enough it is usable however.
