It does not have all that great viewing angles. Enthusiasts find it lacking, regular users are fine with it.

The acer screens arent the best...and there is no indication that acer will change their screens.

the acer screens use LG digital lcd screens, which are normally used as in for their LG digital HD tvs, likewise Acer doesnt manufacture every part of them, the LG screen is bright as the sony x bright screen and besides it was soo bright i had to totally reduce brightness, the brightness for the acer ferrari stands at 200 nits, while the sony xbright stands at 220 nits.which doesnt make a big difference

wrong: The Sony Xbrite displays are 350-400 nits.

The Ferrari is a nice laptop, other than the screen. Shame.

It's a unit of measurement that specifies how bright the backlight is.

check a forum for sony xbright and then u can c how much is the brightness of the screen is,if your having 400 times which is the double as the ferrari/lg/samsung screens then your eyes might go blind lol

umm.. not quite.

Nits are an 'old fashioned' term for brightness per area, more specifically candelas per square meter. (cd/m/m or cd/m^2) Most people use cd/m^2 nowadays, as nits isn't an SI unit.

400 nits is hardly 'blinding' -- most led flashlights are over a thousand candelas or so, and they have much less area of focus.

The best thing about the xbrite displays is that their vertical angle of view is wider. The 'sweet spot' for the Sony A series is probably about 4 times the sweet spot angle for the ferrari and N223II0 screens.
