Sorry I didn't get back to you before this. I am pretty sure removing the HDs or any of the drives will not void the warranty but I am not SAGER. Perhaps Adam can chime in there. But SAGER did have me remove my HD once so I assume its not a problem and they are removeable drives so it shouldn't be. Also, since its a user install to put in a second drive, that would seem to resolve the warranty issue. I'd call SAGER and find out for sure, in writing though.

However what I was addressing is that if they do end up yanking your drives, make sure they give them to you. You can put them into anything and fire them up. At least all the drives I've had. I've got like 5 now between two computers. Two are set up as #1s and the rest are set up as #2s. Unfortunately, all of the bracket adaptors for the drives are different so I have to constantly change those. (Hint Hint - please standardize drives and drive brackets between all the machines)

I really feel all these different batteries and drive brackets and so is simply ridiculous, why not standardize them all so any drive will work in any bay, any battery will work in any bay, etc. Almost feel like coming up with a new laptop computer that is totally modular. You'd be able to replace anything with something different, bigger, newer, whatever. And it should all be snap in, snap out.

But back to the point, keep those HDs. Make sure SAGER gives them back to you so you can get the data off them. Plus then you'll also have a spare drive.
