Tuner HDTV compatible????

Is the tuner card in the 8886 hdtv compatible? I imagine not, but how long before one might be available? Anyone know. Thanks.

Honestly, if it was, it would probably be made abundantly clear... because that would be a nice selling point. I don't think it is though, and I don't think many that would fit in a laptop are... I could be wrong though :-) Anyone know?

Thanks beepster, I appreciate your response. I am researching to buy and really like what the 8886 has to offer. The notebook I buy will double as my HPTC as well and an HDTV tuner card would be outstanding. I haven't seen any with one yet. Thanks again.

I looked for high definition options as well but did not find any portable options, short of replacing the tv card, because i found several types for desktops for around 400 $us but i doubt they could be squeezed into the 8886 as is.

maybe a docking station for my 8886 with hdtv
and four wheels
and i could drive it to work

Yeah, I figured as much. HDTV is still new... kinda like dvd writers. It won't be for a while til lappies are anywhere near really having them practically (price plus size)...
