a novel idea: PC Torque hardware support..

How many people would be overjoiced if let's say....someone at PC torque was sent for hardware training on sagers....then they could order the parts, and fix everything themselves in their own house (florida)....and we can totally avoid having to deal with sager....
i dont know what the costs involved are, nor do i know how much time this would take, or what your resources are...(adam and co..)
(or if this is even possible...)

but i do believe you'd have a ton of happy campers here....

Most resellers don't have the capability, money or resource to fix laptops in house - not to mention it wouldn't make much sense to send your laptop to pctorque rather than to Sager.

Sager did a 2 week turnaround on a monitor/keyboard issue for me, so I'm not disappointed in the service. And who's to say pctorque would do a better job than Sager?

I doubt pctorque would want to enter this business, as they have the bonus of reselling laptops without having to service them.

yeah man doing tech support would just make a bunch of people hate them. In the immortal words of Obi Wan "Run, Luke Run"

It would be a good idea, but fixing the laptops would create a larger burden on them and they would not be able to provide the same level of customer service as they do now. It possibly would be a bit longer til you seen some reviews up of the different machines since they will have their hands tied up in other priorities such as getting your laptop back to you in a timely fashion. Also, I am not sure that fixing laptop problems would bring them enough money to hire another employee (I doubt the warranty will pay them enough for each problem).

It's not that we can't fix notebooks, speaking for myself I have:
Comptia A+ and Net+
MCSE and MCSA
AS in Network Technologies

I can fix a laptop or 2 . Now as for being authorized by Sager to repair notebooks under warranty, I don't think that is something the either Sager or myself would enjoy dealing with.

lol I can't wait for the day when we'll just be able to buy PC Torque laptops. Nuts to Sager I say! PCT is the real reason we buy them
