And BINGO to you ...............deep..............
,..........thats exactly what I am talking about so you have won the jackpot!
, the really strangeness of an excuse for non-payment that makes the radar go into alert mode, only to be followed by a string of more excuses posted in a public forum that has been used so many times before to make it more believable...... and invites others to post for having seen just such on multiple occasions in these silly forums, ...and when posted in the public forum before in similar situations ....and not a private PM ....because I would not ever in my wildest dreams post such personal and private details....unless it was for a reason that focused around ME.
I do sincerely hope that all works out well for everyone involved directly or indirectly in these 9 pages of posting, and I look forward to both Cross and akademik posting that all went well, and everyones concern in both the first post and this one was unjustified. That there was nothing funny about the original deal (since proven unfounded so unusual does not always mean bad and those overly cautious miss out on a really good deal
) since Cross has in his possession the notebook in this transaction so that is a good thing since caution was proven wrong
, also the proper ownerhip of the notebook and our great deal was the result of purchasing something we should have passed on as it only fuels the market for such trade in notebooks taken from rightful owners that we may some day be a victim of, and the opportunity to purchase a deal in hopes of turning it around for a couple $100 profit certainly does not justify doing such and any truly honest person would pass on and maybe even report such, and/or that the seller receives what was agreed to in this good faith transaction and not be take advantage of since the notebook was shipped and in the possession of the buyer without transferring funds first.
As I said in two posts before it is very strange to have 9 pages of posts (90 + posts?) and I DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT BLAMING ME FOR SO MANY POSTS ON A SIMPLE SELL! sinc I only made three, or 3% of the total posts on this thing
on a simple notebook transaction that usually takes Five or Six posts, and there is how these things take on a life of their own exponentially after more than a certain number of posts are made, reaching criticallity for a sustained recaction, until the moderator locks the thread. I do hope that both parties post an honest review of their transaction even if it means I must eat my words, eat mud (or I am sure as akademit and Cross would rather see....have me eat.....sh*....oot
), and put my tail between my legs. Actually I hope that will be the case as I prefer happy endings.
There are just so many folks out there preying on the honest folks it makes us all so horribly afraid and overly cautious and suspicious and a simple transaction becomes a delicate dance played out......over several days or weeks as in this simple transaction.....and everyone wants a deal like this but not be taken......and everyone wants to offer to help prevent someone from being hurt in a deal that is not such a great deal.......because we do not wish to be taken by someone more crafty and smart than us, or see anyone hurt by being involved in something we have seen happen in the past.
I have seen alot of extreme caution and suspicion in what should have been a simple selll of this notebook. I am thinking if akademik offered this notebook for $1300 it would have sold more quickly in a thread only one page long, but by offering a really good deal it made everyone suspicious and afraid, but at the same time wanting such a good deal so they watched and made it their business, but maybe for Cross for being more brave than any of us he gets a really good deal here, and he says he has sold over 20 notebooks before so maybe he has skill sets.....and knows how to work these things to his advantage while still staying honest. Is there anyone else out there that finds this amusing like I do that we are afraid to purchase a DEAL where we have a notebook selling at half price to us on our word to pay later, but don't hesitate to pay more because it feels more safe?
GOOD LUCK CROSS AND AKADEMIK, I hope it all works out for the two of you and when this transaction is complete let us know your honest feelings how it went.
