Thread Starter
The method below will should you how to take the Service Pack 2 files and incorporate it into your "ORIGINAL" Windows XP. This way, in the future if you ever have the need to re-install Windows XP, it automatically comes with SP2 and you wouldn't need to re-download this. This method is called "SlipStream". You will find a lot of sites showing this method on Google.

Note: This method is solely for those who have the "Original" version of Windows XP and is not intended as a sharing or any method violating the terms of agreement brought by Microsoft.

Eww, manual labor.

XPCreate and nLite are two of the tools I know of for making slipstream discs.

XPCreate is nice because procedures to run it are:
1. Download and install the program
2. Put in XP CD
3. Run XPCreate
4. Burn the ready made .ISO file

XPCreate takes care of downloading the files it needs, and also integrates hotfixes as well. nLite is a bit more involved, but also allows the removal of unneeded Windows components, including the IE rendering core if you are really daring.
