I did it today, I ordered a computer, the very reason why I joined this forum and my task is complete. I was at first going to buy a Area-51m but wanted to wait to PCI-e then wanted a desktop which lead me into waiting for SLi. I joined in june and its now December That took me a while but now my mission is complete. You say but Pyrodude808 I thought you weren't going get SLi and save money for your car, and build your own?! Well for one I got this computer at a decent price and I still saved 2 grand for my car. Why didnt you build your own Pyro it would have been much cheaper! Well try and find me 2 Ultra's PCI-E and a ASUS SLi board. You can't right now, but retailors have some in stock! You say well LETS SEE YOUR CONFIG... OK ok ok here it is!

CyberPower Gamer Ultra Power SLi
Case- CoolerMaster Wave Master~ Black
PS-Ultra X connect Black 500W (if not enough will upgrade to TTGI)
CPU-AMD 3200 Winchester (will upgrade to dual core if S939)
MOBO- ASUS NF4 SLi Chipset
RAM-512 MB PC3200 400MHz DDR GEIL Ultra X( will upgrade as well-OCZ PLT.)
GPU-2x NVIDIA EVGA 6800 ULTRA'S
HRD D- 1x 36 GB Western Digital 10,000RPM
And some other goodies-fast shipping
all came out to about 2390$ not to bad supposedly will ship in 7-14 days.. Hopefully before Christmas!!!

Cyberpower's shipping times seem almost too good to be true. According to their website, I could order a fully decked-out SLI rig for like $3000 and it would ship tomorrow if I purchased their rush service. I know some of the boutique dealers are taking orders for the SLI motherboards, but I don't think many of them actually have them in stock. When did they say your order would ship? I'm interested in ordering from them, but am a little worried about their past history. If you could fill us in on your full buying experience, that would be great!

beat me to it viper...that is a sweet system. i believe cyberpower and ibuypower shipping really varies from perosn to person....some poeple have to wait a month, others get it in a week

That is a really good price. I have made an excel file to manage my costs for my sli setup. This is my first desktop so I have to purchase everything from mobo, to keyboard, speakers, and monitors. It has totaled to $2,200 right now, and that is with one 6600gt pci-e. IF you get a chance can you post everything that you are ordering from them? Cause if I can get a sli pc for a $100 more then what it costs to build it, hell ya I will get it. It’s pre-built and it comes with two 6800 ultra's then I am down. Thanks for the info.

Ok, heres the thing the gpu's and mobo are back ordered but supposedly they dont have many orders for it, so next shipment of parts which should be 1 to 2 weeks and they will shop my system. One thing that brought my price down is I took off the speakers and sound card because I dont use speakers, just Headphones. I got the cheaper 512 ram but the geil ultra, that I will sell once I buy a gig of OCZ PLt. rev. Also I didnt get the DVD burner as I have one and I havent used it yet. Those are the reasons its pretty cheap. I did get the extra case fans since i got TWO FREAKIN 6800 ULTRA'S AAAA

Pyrodude808.....I in the same boat as you....i ordered my SLI rig a couple a weeks ago from CyberPower but they say the NForce 4 boards haven't came in yet.....so your ship date won't stay true to form.....the prices however are unbeatable.....it will be aleast 6 months or so before you can build an SLI rig for the price you get it from Cyber Power......Heres my set up:

X-Blade Midtower w/ 450W PS, LCD temp display and fan control
Asus A8N SLI Nforce 4
AMD64 3500 (939)
1 GB Corsair XMS High Performance Ram 3200
80 GB HD @ 7200 rpm's
DUAL 6800 GT's 256 MB Ram
On Board 7.1 High Def Sound
On Board Ethernet
AMD Certified Heat Sink and Fan
3 additional case fans
(Free Copy of HL2 and Command and Conquer Generals)

My expected ship date was originally 14 December but they have since told me it is supposed ship next week. So the wait is on! Some more advice: if you want updated info on how your order is going and if the parts are in you will need to call thier sales department every day b/c the online service is crap! My online order status still says my computer will ship on the 14th of December (its been like that for a week); the funny thing is that it is already the 16th of December!

Other than that you have an awesome computer! Enjoy! Post benchmarks when you get it!

Sweet man we're are going to be the Cyberpower people around here! Has Cyberpower told you about how many people have ordered an SLi system and what rank you are, because I'm sure that will have a lot to do on when you get it, because the company's are shipping in such limited quantities. Did you call the sales and get the asian lady? She was tough to understand part of the time, not a big problem though. I wonder who will get their system first?

Nice set up Pyro. You'll definetely be having some fun once you get that.

Lucky bastards

Very nice set up. I may have missed it, but what kind of monitor do you have?

Now that your mission is complete does that mean you'll be leaving us?

I'm interested to see the benchmarks on the system.

I already have a nice dell flatscreen (not sure of the model its in the states), and no I wont be leaving NBF becasue you guys are so great.... mostly becasue I'm thinking there will be some issues I will have to work out with it and I could use your guys help if it happens. I also gotta do a lengthy review with ton's of pics not to mention ton's of benchmarks. Although the score might be a bit low because of the ram and cpu, both which I plan to upgrade within a year. Thanks for all the kind comments gentlemen!

I just tried to configure a bare bones pc at cyber power. All I really want from them is the mobo and graphics cards. I was thinking that I could get the cheapest pc version that they offered, gut everything and sell it except for the mobo and one pci-e 6800 gt. Then I could get the after market parts, heat sink, ram, HD, case etc. The cost of this would still be higher then if I just built my system. Plus I don’t know what I could get for selling all of the gutted pieces such as keyboard mouse, case, etc.

How can they charge $399 for a 6800 GT PCI-e? I can understand if Dell or HP can do that because they are so big and can buy in such bulk as to bring the per unit cost down. But Cyber Power to my knowledge is not a very big PC manufacturer, yet they are asking for almost cost when it comes to graphics cards. Also I am sure that they make it up when they add a little on for the labor but still that is a very low price. Every where I have seen on the web, gamepc, for example charges around 570 for a 6800 gt pci-e.

Any down side to doing business with cyber power. There were a few rather disgruntled customers on resellers from cyber power. Any one on this forum do business with these guys before?

Thankx for the info

P.S.
Do you know what the model of PCI-e cards that they use are?

Well 2 video cars come standard with the SLi config computer so there's already credit towards the card from the base price. They use EVGA cards
post #18 of 78
I just called Cyber Power and now the 6800 GT/s and Ultra/s are on back order for 2 weeks. Man I wish this stuff didnt take so long! I want my computer now! I checked EVGA's website and it says the cards are on back order as well....

Concerning the guys comment asking about the resellers comments about Cyber Power: I read those to but at the prices they give it doesnt hurt to try b/c you can always ship the thing back. So if it works you win BIG! If not, you just wait and build one! (in about 2 months)

ohh noes, I need my Ultra's now. I geuss I can only dream of it coming before Christmas
man that's a sweet system, gratz dude.

Here's my dream system:

Coolermaster CM Stacker Case
AMD Athlon 64 FX-55
MSI Nforce4 SLI Board (forget name now)
2x OCZ PC3200 Platinum Rev.2 512MB
2x Nvidia 6800 Ultra
Creative Audigy 4 Pro
NEC DVD RW
Plextor Combo Drive
Dual X-Connect 500W Ultra PSUs
2x 74GB Western Digital Raptors Raid 0
2x Western Digital WD2500JB IDE 250GB HDDs (make that 4 if there's 4 SATA ports, using 2 of the SATA versions)

Watercooled:
Storm G5 CPU Block
2x DangerDen 6800 ultra blocks
4x Swiftech MCP600 in series on 14v
DangerDen Maze 4 Chipset block
2x Fedco Dual 120mm single pass radiators in external radbox
4x 120mm H1A Panaflos in wooden radbox.

Now THAT would be one ownage system, but still, Pyro's system is going to come awful close and may exceed after overclocking. Anyway, pyro, why didnt u build it on ur own? Since you've had adequate time to research how to do it anyway.
