We all grumble a little bit every now and then. I know I do.

laffingbilly, if it weren't for the volunter armed forces then they would be drafting people.

thank god for the cry babies who volunteered...oh yeah, that's the operative word "volunteered".

the dude is gonna have to get some kevlar blankets and put pockets in there for the plates..might as well get a bulletproof suitcase instead.

in a desert environment and the temp extremes (well he'll be in an a/c connex), i'd think a toughbook would be more appropriate.

You seem to have some serious issues. What a waste.

Can't quite tell if this thread is about laptops or military service. In any case, I see that military men still groan and complain (and deny that they do so), just as they did when I was a Marine many years ago.

Good luck to all of you, both with your Service and finding the right laptops.

CDRom - Stay safe is right... but its not so bad up in AFG... worse here in IRAQ... I have had my i8600 over here since Nov 12th. It is still working perfectly... One thing I HIGHLY recommend is to get a good case - Like a Pelican 1490 case. It is a hard case and has protected my laptop just fine....
